Who we are
Our website address is https://mlclark.net.
Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data on the comment form as well as the visitor’s IP address and browser’s user agent string to help detect spam.
An anonymous string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to help us know if you use it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. Once your comment has been approved, your profile picture will be visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Media
If you upload images to the site, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Site visitors can download and extract any location data from images on the site.
Cookies
If you leave a comment on our site, you may agree to have your name, email address and website stored in a cookie. This is for your convenience, so that you do not have to re-enter your information when you leave another comment. These cookies are valid for one year.
If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This file contains no personal information and is deleted when you close your browser.
When you log in, we also set several cookies to store your login information and screen display choices. Log in cookies are stored for two days and screen select cookies are stored for up to a year. If you select the “Remember me” option, your login will be saved for two weeks. If you sign out of your account, your login cookies will be deleted.
If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be stored in your browser. This cookie does not contain personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.
Embedded content from other sites
Articles on this site may contain embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other sites behaves exactly as if the visitor had gone to another site.
These sites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking tools and track your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that site.
Who we share your data with
If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in your password reset email.
How long do we keep your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are stored indefinitely. This is so that we can automatically recognize and approve all future comments, rather than keeping them in a moderation queue.
For users who register on our site (if any), we also store personal information that they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except that they cannot change their username). Site administrators can also see and edit this information.
What rights do you have over your information
If you have an account on this site or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal information we keep about you, including any data you have provided to us. You may also request that we delete any personal data we hold about you. This does not include data that we are required to keep for administrative, legal or security purposes.
Where your data is sent
Visitor comments may be screened using an automated spam detection service.
